Face-to-Face English Language Tutoring  

If you live in the Fresno, California, area, you can work with your own private instructor face-to-face.  We are experienced in teaching all levels of writing, grammar, listening, speaking, reading, and pronunciation.  We also can help you prepare for the TOEFL: either the paper-based (for entering Fresno State or City College) or the iBT.  Contact us to schedule an intial consultation.  Private tutoring rate: $33/hour (1-5 hours).  $30/hour (6+ hours, prepaid).   Contact us for semi-private and small-group rates.

Online English LanguageTutoring

Work with an experienced ESL instructor without leaving the comfort of your own home. Using Skype and a webcam (optional), you will receive personal attention and feedback. Online tutoring can cover any ESL topic, but it's especially great for those working on oral communication or the speaking section of the iBT.  Holly also has had extensive experience working with International Teaching Assistants (ITAs), so she would be happy to help you prepare your microteaching or lecture.  Private tutoring rate: $30/hour (1-5 hours).  $28/hour (6+ hours).   Contact us for semi-private and small-group rates.   

Study English in Second Life

I am just starting to offer classes and tutorials in Second Life, an amazing 3D virtual world where people can interact using both voice and text chats.  You can join for free at the Second Life website.  Once in SL, look up Thea Pevensey and send her an IM for more information.

Online English Language Courses

Online lessons will be available soon!  First up: Online Grammar and Online Pronunciation and Oral Skills.  Students will be able to participate in online courses complete with lessons, assignments, a discussion board, and a chat room.  Complete the whole course or pick and choose your areas to review.  An experienced ESL instructor will moderate each course, responding to students' questions and providing feedback on students' work.
